N.S.S Training College, Ottapalam - One of the scores of educational institutions, ranging from elementary schools to Grade-I colleges, owned and manged by Nair Service Society, a registered charitable society, was founded in the year 1914 by late Mannath Padmanabhan, the legendary social reformer, educationist and visionary.

The college was established in 1960 and was affiliated to the Kerala University. In 1968 the college was affiliated with Calicut University consequent up on its inception.
