Review of literature is one of the most important steps in the research process.

Review of literature is a written summary of journal articles , books and other documents and describe the past and current state of information on the topic of your research study.

A review tells the reader that the researcher knows the research in the area. A good review increases a reader's confidence in the researcher's professional competence, ability and background.

A good review places a research project in context and demonstrates its relevance by making connections to body of knowledge.
